About Me

if you are too lazy to read the whole thing then i love tow rite and my other interests include reading, dancing, eating/cooking, traveling, watching movies and clicking photos. and i blog about these things.

Sometimes words form in my head. They go round and round like a whirlpool until they finally settle down into sentences. I love these words. They take me into a completely different world. They make me fall in love with my keyboard, no matter how many times I have to hit the back space button, because after a while I don’t hit backspace. They just keep flowing from my mind to my fingertips and they don’t stop till I am satisfied. They are my best friends and are always around when I need them. When these words are so important to me how can I not give them a special place? I owe them a separate web address at least so that I can improve on them and share them with the world. That is why I am working on this blog.

I love writing. But other than writing (and now blogging) I also love to read, to dance, to watch movies, to eat and occasionally to cook. Of late, I have also developed an interest in photography. And though I am still adverse to getting my photo clicked, i have developed a keen interest in capturing my interesting surroundings in a frame. I also love history, math and fashion. (weird combination; I know) and the last thing, but probably the most important one (after writing of course) is travel.

I love to travel, and though I haven’t been around much, the places that I have seen, have simply blown me away!! The place that I have loved the most is Goa. It’s my dream destination and the one place that I simply have to visit every year. Otherwise my year is considered incomplete.!! Anyway, I guess I’ll write a completely different post about that later. The two places I long to visit are Delhi and China. Delhi, because my mom and her entire family lived there and their stories about the city are simply amazing!! Apart from the sour weather it seems perfect. Unfortunately I have never been to Delhi, but that will change soon. My obsession with China on the other hand is a complete mystery (even to me). But I guess I’ll find out when I finally visit the country. The other places that are on the top of my list are, Egypt, Italy, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia and whichever other place God takes me too. In India itself I do not know which places I should want to visit and which places I can skip. But apart from Delhi I do not have any hard and fast rules about traveling in India. Anywhere will do.

Another part of me which is like a hand me down is my interest in movies. My dad loves movies and now I do too. I will watch any movie, from any country, of any language as long as it is good. My dad has passed on the legacy of being a bollywood fan to me and that is my main area of expertise. Other than that, I love watching English movies, some Japanese or Chinese movies, Kannada movies occasionally and recently I have also begun to love Tamil movies. I love analyzing each movie and getting something meaningful out of it all the time!! I love serious movies, action movies, family drama (any sort of drama actually), romantic movies, chick flicks, animated movies, comedy movies, art movies and thrillers.

Yup. That’s pretty much everything about me.

  3. Great blog you have. I’m a big movie fan and love to cook. If the name of my blog offends you, I understand. I usually go through the list of people who comment on news from WordPress and the new themes they have — that is how I found your site.

Get into photography! It is fun too!

  4. Delhi weather isn’t sour…it’s sweet & sour, and hot & spicy – It’s got everything…from hot dust-storms to cold rain-storms with every other possibility tucked in between:)

    1. and that is why i don’t like it.. by sour weather i meant the fact that it constantly changes.. and i hate it.. i can’t go from one extreme to another.. here in mangalore we pretty much have the same kind of weather all year round.. and thats why i like it!! 🙂

  5. Well, before reading this whole, I glanced once and saw some links like on ‘Tamil Movies’. I kept myself waiting till I finally came to that part while reading and was really anticipating some movie names, some really good ones. You disappointed there! As for me, I am finding myself in extreme love with Tamil culture overall and Tamil movies are a vocal mouth to this new finding. Being Marathi, of kannada parents, I am learning Tamil now. And it’s the best part as per now.

About travelling, well I wish you very best luck. As for me, I was always in love with Germany and Delhi and with some unexpected accident I am in Germany now and I visited Delhi many many times. Next destination to live is France. It’s far more different to visit as a tourist than to stay there for a longer time. It’s an enriching experience and hopefully you will get to know more about it for sure.

    1. kakha kakha, anniyan, padiyyappa, kandasamy, deiva thirumagal, saamy, vinnaithandi varuvaya, endhiran, singham are some of my all time favorites. sorry for disappointing you there. but i am a newbie at tamil too and i doubt i know much more than you. and let me know how France goes. also, enjoy Germany for me!! 🙂

      1. That’s a great list. Can I suggest you some? Well, Mounam pesiyathe, Vaaranam Aayiram (like to identify myself with it), Anbe Sivam, Kanchivaram, Kannathil Muthamittal(very good), Subramaniapuram, Va Quarter Cutting…You will get a gist as to what kind of movies I do like!

Well, Germany is awesome. 3 years went by and as a guy and beer lover, it’s a heaven 😉 . France is on card for next 3 years, just weighing it against TN now. lets see.

  6. Hi. Nice blog. Talking about your longing to visit Delhi, I think you should definitely pay a visit. I was there for around three years and I really love that place. The thing they say about Delhi is that everything is extreme there. Love is extreme, hatred is extreme, and so is the weather. Do go there only during the winters (Nov – March) and if possible in Feb to Mid march when the weather is really pleasant.

  7. Rashmi, Just wanted to say thanks for the “Like” on my post Never to Old to Blog.
You have a great blog site and I especially like your Looking out the Window posts…
    Simply Charming!

  8. It’s interesting most passionate writers and bloggers end up being a passionate photographer as well. 😀 I’m not saying that I’m a photographer as well, unless you put the prefix ‘amateur’ to it. 😛

Nice blog here. You actually left a comment on my blog a while earlier but I later forgot to visit you. Today, while visiting random post from my blog archive, I discovered your comment and here I am. 😀

    1. Well, I was really surprised to find 5 comments from the same person when I logged in today. It feels really good when someone appreciates your work like this. Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog!

  10. Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

  11. Very great post. I simply stumbled upon your weblog and wanted to mention that I have really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I will be subscribing to your rss feed and I am hoping you write again very soon!
